The Wine Cellar Ltd offers delivery worldwide. Usual delivery time for UK is between for orders placed before 09:00 AM 2-4 working days; however you can arrange next day delivery for an additional fee. We use a local courier company and all bottles are shipped in specially designed packages to protect the bottles from damage during shipping. The signature will be required on delivery and all packages containing alcohol will require an adult over 18 to sign for the package. Any packages returned to us due to failure to obtain an adult signature will be subject to an additional charge for re-shipment.
The Wine Cellar adheres strictly to a condition code regarding all wines, with proper safekeeping of all wines in our possession and act in good faith when purchasing wine. In the unlikely event of some older wines being corked or out of condition for consumption it will be at the discretion of The Wine Cellar that replacements be made available, without obligation.
The purchaser undertakes to inspect all goods when collecting or immediately following delivery and must notify the carrier forthwith damage, shortfall or deficiency. Satisfactory acceptance of the goods is deemed to be made three days following collection/delivery. Thereafter the purchaser is unable to reject the order for whatever reason.
You may cancel your order for any reason whatsoever at any time up to 7 days from the day you placed the order, provided you have not yet received your parcel. If the cancellation is made after we have already shipped the order and we will require the courier to return to sender, shipping fees will not be refunded. Please see Return & Exchanges for a cancellation of an order already received.
Returns & Exchanges
If some or all of the bottles of wine in a case are broken or spoiled when they are delivered you should notify us immediately.
You can exchange or return unopened bottles within 7 days from purchasing. The bottles must arrive at our London shop with a copy of the invoice.
If we suspect the bottle was tampered with (exposed to heat, label damaged, etc.,), we may refuse the return.
Please note that the shipping cost will not be refunded.
It is against the law to sell or indeed supply intoxicating substances to persons under 18 years of age in the UK. By placing an order you confirm that you are at least 18 years old. If our couriers are in doubt of the age of the recipient of an order they will request some form of ID. In the event that this is not satisfied they are not permitted to leave the wine.
